Lundberg California Organic Sushi Rice: Lundberg Family Farms grows organic Akitakomachi, a classic Japanese short grain rice. The Akitakomachi variety is grown especially for Sushi Rice. Our Organic Sushi Rice is an excellent table rice and is truly superb in traditional Sushi rolls, salads and other Asian dishes. The beautiful pearl-like grains have a light, clean, fresh taste that is just perfect for the most delicate of recipes.
How to: Combine 1 cup rice, 1.5 cup water in a pot and bring to a boil. Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce heat to low-simmer for 30 min. Remove from heat (with lid on!) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork. *If rice is crunchy at the end of cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer. Tip: To prepare in rice cooker, use same water-rice ratio.
